Understanding the Math: How Blooket Probability Works

The Gambler's Fallacy

Many players think, "I opened 50 packs and didn't get a legendary, so the next one MUST be it!"

This is false.

Blooket pack openings are Independent Events. This means the game does not "remember" your past luck. If a Chroma has a 0.05% drop rate, it is 0.05% on your first pack and 0.05% on your 1,000th pack.

Calculating Your Real Odds

To calculate the chance of getting at least one Chroma in n packs, we use the formula:

P(at least one) = 1 - (1 - p)^n

Where p is the probability (e.g., 0.0005) and n is number of packs.

Example: Opening 100 Packs

If you open 100 packs with a 0.05% chance:

1 - (1 - 0.0005)^100 ≈ 4.88%

So even with 100 packs (2,500 tokens), you only have a ~5% chance of seeing a Chroma! This is why saving thousands of tokens is crucial.

Use our Blooket Calculator tool to simulate these odds before you spend your hard-earned tokens!
